Delicius Celebrates 50 Years

 

Fifty years ago, the name Delicius appeared on the first anchovy tins. Since that day in 1974 in Parma, we have embarked on a long and exciting journey that we want to celebrate by reminiscing about our origins, our stories, our people.

We are doing this with a celebratory version of our famous logo with the 2 fish, and with an Exhibition that will tell the story of our world, our Sea.

In the meantime, here is an overview of our journey and the major milestones reached in these 50 years.

Today Delicius is still a family-owned and run company that has achieved a leadership position in the Italian market, building a strong identity with high-quality products. The values that have always guided us are: transparency, authenticity, integrity, experience, respect for the environment, innovation, and design.

An entrepreneurial family that has never been afraid to innovate while remaining firmly rooted in the traditions encapsulated in its products. Indeed, all the salting, pressing, and fileting processes of the anchovies are still carried out by hand by skilled filleters and master salters, who work the fish within 6 hours of catching it. Ancient crafts that are carefully preserved, with the same care that is passed on to all the Delicius products.

Fifty years of teamwork and continuous commitment to always wanting to do better. For our sea, our people, and our community. Since 2020, we have decided to report our commitment by publishing the annual sustainability report, which analyzes our activities and sets concrete objectives. 

Challenges and ambitious aims are our daily inspiration. With projects to protect the oceans and communities, Delicius now traces its itinerary for the years to come.
