Pasta with Sardines

Sardine all'olio di Oliva 120g | Delicius

INGREDIENTs for 2 people

package of Delicius Sardine fillets 
160 g of Linguine Pasta 
30 g of Raisins
1 saffron bag
Fennel herb 
50 g of Pine nuts
1 Onion


Cut the onion in thin slices. Open a pack of Delicius Sardine fillets and cut each sardine in half and carefully remove the central bone. Prepare a sautè with olive oil and the onion, adding the saffron sachet previously dissolved in a little water; then add the toasted pine nuts, the raisins (after having them soaked for a few minutes) and finally the sardines.
In the meantime, boil the fennel herb for a few minutes in salted boiling water – the same you will use to cook the pasta. Drain it and cut it coarsely before adding it to the sauce. Add some hot cooking water if necessary to make the sauce more liquid. Cook the linguine pasta in the same water, then remove them “al dente” directly in the pan. Sauté the pasta with the sauce, and add the breadcrumbs previously toasted in a pan with a little oil. Serve neatly with extra sauce on top.
