We respect the sea and create responsible value over time

Delicius was founded in 1974 in Parma, at the heart of Italian food culture and a UNESCO Creative City for Gastronomy.

We’re a company specialising in premium tinned seafood, grown over time through a rigorous approach, a strong industrial culture and a vision consistently oriented towards the future.

Today, we operate as a Benefit Company, combining business growth with a concrete responsibility to the sea, people and the communities in which we operate.

From sea to table

Quality at every stage

We carefully select our raw materials, process the fish through controlled methods and oversee every stage of the supply chain with expertise and rigour.

Direct control

Our direct presence in several Mediterranean countries lets us operate close to fishing areas, ensuring continuity of supply, full traceability and consistent quality standards.

Respect for the sea

We rely on a solid, transparent organisational model that lets us bring the sea to the table responsibly, with respect for its resources.

Why Parma?

It wasn’t the sea that brought us here, but industry.

Between the late nineteenth and early twentieth century, Parma became a centre for food processing, from tomatoes to Parmigiano Reggiano.

For oily fish arriving from Ligurian ports along the rotte degli anciuìe – the anchovy trade routes – Parma offered a system to process, enhance and integrate it into local supply chains.

It’s in this context that our industrial culture was shaped: method, expertise and the ability to evolve over time.

Every decision – from the selection of raw materials to supply chain management – follows a clear principle: a healthy sea means a healthy life.

At Delicius, we believe the ocean is life. It’s an extraordinary source of balance, nourishment and future potential, much of which we are still discovering. Understanding, respecting and protecting it is what guides our daily work.

When the sea is healthy, so are we.
