It has been cultivated throughout the Mediterranean basin since ancient times. We use the bud, known as the caper, a traditional ingredient in many Sicilian dishes. Our “Pantelleria Caper PGI” belongs to the Capparis spinosa species, and its active ingredients are known for their diuretic properties and their protective effect on blood vessels. We chose it for its intense, aromatic flavour, which makes its pairing with our anchovies truly distinctive.
