The company headquarters lights up in lilac to raise awareness of eating disorders
To mark Italy’s National Lilac Ribbon Day on 15 March, Delicius joined the initiative promoted by the city of Parma and, for the second consecutive year, lit up its headquarters in lilac.
The initiative forms part of Parma’s broader commitment to protecting the physical and mental wellbeing of its citizens As part of the project, the city signed a public-private collaboration agreement dedicated to the prevention of eating disorders, supported by a wide range of organisations across the local area.
For Delicius, taking part in this initiative means continuing its commitment to the wellbeing of the community. As a company working in the food sector, promoting a balanced relationship with eating – based on nutrition, awareness and personal wellbeing – is a central value.
Through this initiative, Delicius joins other leading companies from the Parma area, including Barilla, Chiesi, Davines and Dallara, in supporting the project.
Parma’s city-wide strategy
The agreement promoted by the city brings together public institutions and the research community. It was signed by Mayor Michele Guerra, the Parma University Hospital, the University of Parma and the LAC and CEIS Foundations.
The pilot project La Cassetta degli Attrezzi (“The Toolbox”), aimed at students across several schools, is designed to strengthen adolescents’ personal resources in dealing with social pressures and distorted messages linked to self-image.
A message for the city
On the evenings of 14 and 15 March, monuments and company headquarters across Parma were lit up in lilac. The symbolic gesture aims to break the silence that often surrounds eating disorders and promote greater awareness across the community.
