Cena dei Mille 2025 showcases Parma’s Food Valley, with Delicius among the leading names

Parma, 10 September 2025

Piazza Garibaldi once again became the backdrop for the Cena dei Mille dinner, which celebrated its sixth edition last night. A 400-metre-long table, 1,000 guests and a menu created by leading names in Italian cuisine made the event unforgettable. It was organised by the Parma UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy Foundation, with support from the Municipality of Parma and with Parma Alimentare overseeing the event.

The guest of honour was chef Giancarlo Perbellini, recently awarded his third Michelin star, who opened the evening with a starter that combined technique and creativity. He was joined by talents from the International School of Italian Cuisine (ALMA), Chef to Chef Emilia Romagna and Parma Quality Restaurants, who created a four-course menu paired with wines from Ferrari Trento and Tenute Lunelli.

The evening was not only a celebration of food, but also an act of solidarity. Part of the proceeds will go towards the purchase of an electric vehicle for the Emporio Market Solidale in Parma, which supports more than 1,900 families in need.

Excellence from the Food Valley

The Cena dei Mille has become a symbol of the Parma Food Valley, a region built on six key supply chains: Parmigiano Reggiano, Prosciutto di Parma, pasta, milk, tomatoes and anchovies.

The anchovy supply chain is an integral part of this unique system. In 2024, it contributed to a total turnover of €11.5 billion, with exports increasing by 67% over the past six years.

Art, conviviality and an international outlook

Artistic performances curated by VerdiOFF added another dimension to the evening, bringing together music, dance and conviviality in a distinctive atmosphere.

Looking ahead, on 12 December, the Food Valley’s leading producers will travel to New York to take part in a gala dinner at the United Nations headquarters, marking the UN’s 80th anniversary.

Delicius brings the sea to Parma

For Delicius, taking part in the Cena dei Mille once again confirms its connection to Parma and its Food Valley, a region that brings together tradition, innovation and an international outlook.

The Cena dei Mille 2025 once again showed that Parma is a global capital of gastronomy. Delicius is proud to bring the taste of the sea to the tables of this extraordinary city.
